Liturgy/Funerals for families to select music

The first step in planning a funeral is to contact the funral home of your choice. They will help you through the beginning process of planning a funeral. After you have picked a church Mass or funeral service and a priest or deacon and all have settled on a date, the funeral home will ask you the necessary details to give to the church for the funeral arrangements. You can then proceed to the readings and music as explained in the next paragraphs.
Our Music Ministry office is here to serve you when planning a Mass of Christian Burial (Catholic Funeral). You may choose your readings from the link below and call the office to inform them of their choices, or call the office to make an appointment. The Gospel reading is usually the choice of the celebrant.
If you need this information after hours or during a holiday, we have listed it here for your convenience. Please know that if you do not have to make all of these decisions on your own. If you would like, we can choose the readings and music for you.
You MAY also have family members serve as Lectors or to bring up the Gifts during the Preparation of the table. If you do not have family members for this, we can arrange for other people to take over that responsibility.
