"RCIA was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. The process was incredible. We were lucky enough to bond as candidates and form friendships that I will treasure forever. Every night was unique and always educational. We were able to dive into deep discussions with clergy and lay people, who were always willing to answer our questions. Thanks to RCIA at OLQH, I have a stronger sense of faith, a deeper connection with the Holy Trinity, and lifelong friends. If anyone is considering the process, my advice would be to jump in! You will not regret it." - JILLIAN PITRE
"I attended mass for over five years with my family without much understanding of why Catholicism practiced certain rituals and beliefs. I always looked for signs and one day I was challenged to take the RCIA path. It was the best decision I ever made. The process was very humbling and I found my thirst for Christ grow each Wednesday. I can honestly say this journey was transformational in my personal and professional life finding my love for the Lord again! Felicia did a fantastic job giving us a foundation and explaining why Catholics believe what we do. I now feel as though Queen of Heaven truly is my home church! If you have questions then I challenge you to attend a meeting and see if RCIA is a good path to take!" - PARKER WEEKS
“Before joining RCIA, my husband and I were interested in getting our marriage recognized by the Catholic Church in addition to having our son baptized. Throughout that process, I decided to convert to Catholicism as I felt in my heart that raising our children Catholic is what we were called to do, instead of remaining in a mixed marriage. The RCIA process at OLQH was more than I imagined it would be as we not only learned the basics of the Catholic faith, we were also challenged to reflect and take a deeper look into our own lives and how we could strengthen our relationships with Christ, friends, and family. The friendships I made while going through RCIA are friendships that I know will last a life time and for that I am extremely grateful. I encourage anyone that is interested in converting to Catholicism to give the program at OLQH a try, as it was truly life changing.” - SARAH MUELLER
"My longing for the Eucharist is what led me to Catholicism. The idea that I could receive the actual body and blood of Christ was powerful. As I went through the process of RCIA, the more I Iearned the more I fell in love with the faith. Learning about the history of the Catholic Church and the Sacraments made me realize how truly sacred, holy, and precious the Catholic faith is.
One of my favorite parts of RCIA is getting to go through this life-changing experience with a group of amazing people. We pray for and support one another for several months. We then get to watch one another receive the most blessed Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation. So awesome!
I am so glad I finally listened to God's calling and went through RCIA. It was honestly one of the best decisions! I know it was God's calling because the very Sacrament that drew me in, I now get to teach! (FYI...Holli begins teaching 2nd Grade at OLQH School in the fall.)
I encourage anyone who is considering going through RCIA to give it a shot. It will forever change your life in the most profound and inspiring way!" - HOLLI ABATE
